With the industry’s ever-present need for skilled welders, Zierke Built Manufacturing Inc has upped the ante with their potential starting pay.
In the metal fabrication industry, a typical welder can see hourly wages ranging anywhere from $12 - $19 an hour regardless of one's skill. In some cases, highly skilled welders might be making up to $22 an hour but only after many years on the job (8+ years) and the related promotions that came during those years.
What Zierke wants to do: reward professional welders with a competitive hourly wage that complements their skills and rival Minnesota’s current median pay, all at the very start of their new career!
Job Details
Responsibilities of the Master Welder position:
- Able to read blueprints
- Proficient with Wire Feed Welding
- Interested in helping our company grow
Requirements of the Master Welder position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 consecutive years welding experience with same employer
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently
- Experience working in a custom welding environment a plus!

- 4-day on / 3-day off (6:00am - 5:30pm) schedule with OT eligible Fridays!
